Lundgren said retailers are opening earlier to capture the younger shoppers. He is forecasting better than expected sales after surveying store associates and shoppers. Macy's decided to open earlier than last year because its what the customer wanted. The key is working collaboratively with the suppliers to get the merchandise in the stores. He pointed out, online business is growing very fast; people are buying items online and returning them in store locations, and buying something else. Finally, when pressed on how much the Thanksgiving Parade cost the company, Lundgren said a lot of money, but Macy's would continue to do it because it is what the company is about, satisfying the customer.Have a great weekend!Wednesday’s CloseDJIA up 24.53 pts/+0.15%/ 16,097.33S&P up 4.49 pts/+0.25%/ 1,807.23Nasdaq up 27.00 pts/+0.67%/ 4,044.75Friday’s FuturesDow Futures up 49.00 pts/+0.30%S&P Futures up 4.755 pts/+0.26%Nasdaq Futures up 17.00 pts/+0.49%Overseas MarketsFTSE +0.36%CAC 40 +0.13%NIKKEI 225 -0.41%HANG SENG +0.39%Overseas:  World stock markets were little changed today as a report in Europe showed employment in the euro zone fell from a record high and as GrainCorp plunged after the Australian government rejected a takeover bid by a foreign rival.  Economic Reports:  NoneTop Headlines:     The Wall Street Journal reported, Charter Communications is arranging $25 billion in debt financing to help it fund a bid for Time Warner Cable (TWC).CVS Caremark Corp will buy drug infusion services provider Coram LLC for $2.1 billion.Archer-Daniels-Midland’s (ADM) A$2.2 billion ($2 billion) takeover of GrainCorp Ltd. was blocked by Australia, prompting a record drop in shares of the east coast’s biggest crop handler.Commodities/Currency:Gold:up $13.70 to $1,251.50Oil:up $0.50 to $92.80EUR/USD 1.3612 +0.0008USD/JPY 102.30 +0.0100GBP/USD 1.6341 +0.0001Volatility Index (VIX): As of the close of business Wednesday, November 27, 2013 the VIX is up 0.17 at 12.98Companies Reporting Quarterly Earnings:NoneToday’s Opening and Closing Bells:Charitybuzz Celebrates Charity Fundraising Milestone with NYSE Opening Bell® The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation Visits the NYSE and Celebrates the 66th Anniversary of the Marine Toys for Tots Program.  President and CEO of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Lieutenant General Pete Osman will ring the closing bell.Giuseppe Montefinese – Specialist Corporate Actions & Market WatchIntercontinentalExchange | NYSE11 Wall St | New York, NY 10005Tel: 212.656.5105 | Fax: 212.656.5893 | Mob: 347.237.2178gmontefinese@nyx.comNothing herein constitutes an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security or a recommendation of any security or trading practice.
